Competition in Informatics
The IInd all-Polish Competition in Informatics organized by CNiB “Żak” took place on 27 and 28 of May in Łódź. 34 student of our school took part in it.
The theoretical knowledge of participants was verified during the first stage of Competition. Ten persons who obtained the highest number of points were qualified to the second stage. The practical skills were examined during the second stage.
List of finalists:
First place: PAWEŁ JURCZUK - WŁOCŁAWEK (40,5 points)
The winner has received:
- Novell handbook,
- Maxdata speaker system,
- Microsoft mouse with keyboard,
- Microsoft night lamp,
- Microsoft pendrive.
Second place: ADAM BROŻYŃSKI - CZĘSTOCHOWA (37 points)
The awards:
- Maxdata speaker system,
- Microsoft mouse,
- Microsoft night lamp,
- Microsoft pendrive.
Third place: ŁUKASZ ENGELBERG - GDAŃSK (37 points) – time decided about the order of the second an the third place. The participant received:
- Maxdata mouse,
- Microsoft keyboard.
Finalists who had the first, the second and the third place received also:
- Herkules leashes and notebooks,
- caps and Novell programme
- PTI/ECDL laptop bags.
The next persons who were accepted for the second stage:
4. ARTUR CZEMERSKI - ŁÓDŹ (32 points)
5. MARIUSZ ŚWIĘCH - NOWY SĄCZ (31 points)
6. TOMASZ PISARZEWSKI - WARSZAWA (29 points)
7. JAKUB WIŚNIEWSKI - WŁOCŁAWEK (21 points)
8. KRZYSZTOF RAŻNIEWSKI - GLIWICE (20 points )
9. ARTUR DEGÓRSKI - WŁOCŁAWEK (19 points)
10. BARTOSZ SAMSEL – KRAKÓW (this participant received the highest number of points during the first stage of Competition but he didn’t take part in the second stage)
Participants who were accepted for the second stage received:
- ECDL caps and mouse-pads,
- Novell accessories,
- Maxdata ball pens,
- Microsoft advertising materials.
The all persons taking part in Competition received:
- PTI accessories – ECDL representative
- Promotional materials of CNiB “Żak”
- Novell training folders,
-Maxdata and Avernet accessories and rebate coupons.
After the first day of Competition the participants and jurors were invited by Żak” to dinner to the “Havana” restaurant. The second day of rivalry was eventful with shows of MAXDATA and WEBSIDE computer companies.
A struggle of competitors has been accompanied all this time by the reporter of Radio Łódź. We heartily thank the all students of Żak who took part in the Computer Science Competition and we would like to congratulate winners!
